- Abstract
- The design of a decision support system addressing maintenance management for commercial vehicles is the aim of this work. Seizing the chance offered by an EU-funded project exploring improvements in lifecycle management from smart embedded systems usage, a predictive maintenance algorithm has been designed having the goal to apply predictive maintenance procedures on a real automotive scenario. The described approach represents the backbone of a (still under development) innovative system for the optimisation of maintenance interventions on a fleet of trucks. The new maintenance system is conceptualized in order to collect information and knowledge which can add value to all the stakeholders of the value chain. (literal)
