Abstract
  • In this paper the authors analyze the correlations between sea surface roughness, wind intensity and radar backscattering time series, by using the fractal geometry. The aim is to provide evidence, by using real data, of correlation between the sea surface roughness and the backscattering fractal dimension. The results have highlighted good correlations and shown the usefulness of the fractal dimension as a parameter for sea surface roughness characterization. (literal)
