- Abstract
- In a recent paper, Reddy et al. reported on the catalytic properties of ceria-lanthana (CeO2-La2O3) solid solutions (hereafter CL) using a number of analyticalmethods,and here I shall comment on the XPS analysis described in that paper. XPS analysis of these materials is of paramount importance in elucidating their catalytic properties, but I find that the interpretation offered in the paper by Reddy et al. is largely unwarranted.
