Abstract
  • The analysis of the daily rainfall data during 1950-1995 is carried out in the Mediterranean basin. The results indicate that in Italy the torrential rainfall (>128 mm/day)increased by a factor 4 with strong peaks in El-Nino years. Less itense variation occurred in Spain, while in Israel and Cyprus no significant trends were found. (literal)
