- Abstract
- The method involves acquiring a set of images (100) at a succession of focal planes of matrix according to a predetermined direction of observation, where the images are obtained by observation of the matrix in transmission at predetermined scanning wavelength, and image elements represent formations dispersed in the matrix. Three-dimensional contours representing the formations dispersed in the matrix are detected. Volumes representing the formations provided within the contours are identified. The formations at the image elements in focus in the identified volumes are located spatially. (literal)
