Abstract
  • Interaction between a fuel particle and the gas-solids suspension during devolatilization in a fluidized bed reactor has been investigated. A X-ray imaging technique confirmed: a) the formation of (endogenous) volatile matter bubbles around devolatilizing fuel particles, and b) the uprise of fuel particles associated to endogenous bubble motion.
