Abstract
  • We present the modelling, microfabrication in a silicon substrate and optical characterisation of an electrically controllable waveguide made of nematic liquid crystal. For a TM light polarization, we have measured an extinction ratio higher than 35 dB and a threshold voltage of only 2 V. (literal)
