Abstract
  • This paper investigates the performance of handover algorithms in microcellular envir0nment.s characterized by non-uniform distribution of users. Propagation, mobility and network aspects are t,aken into account. We propose some new algorithms bawd on power measurements and traffic estimates. We show that., depending on t,he scenario, the optimum algorithm has to be carefiilly chosen. (literal)
