Abstract
  • This report describes the computational analysis of the unviscid flow around a ducted propeller using a BEM model. The activity is performed in the framework of a research program co-funded by the European Union under the \"SUPERPROP\" Project TST4-CT-2005-516219. The theoretical and computational methodology is described and results of a validation excercise on several test cases is presented and discussed. In particular, the proposed formulation is applied to the analysis of ducted propellers typically used on tug-boat and fishing-boat vessels. With minor modifications, this report is also available as \"SUPERPROP\" Project Deliverable D2.3. (literal)
