- Purpose: Renal dysfunction is an important prognostic determinant in various forms of heart failure. The aim of the study was to compare the predictive value of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) calculated with two different formulas - Cockcroft-Gault corrected for body surface area (CG) and revised Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) - in a cohort of patients with systolic chronic heart failure.
