Abstract
  • We invistigate some propriertes of the granular solid/fluid phase transition utilizing an experimental system in which an anular plate is sheared across the surface of a circular channel containing a granular medium. We find that several macroscopic parameters change in character act omega c , the velocity at which the anular plate starts to slide continuously. (literal)
