Abstract
  • Gold nanoparticles have been covered with modified amphiphilic cyclodextrins, that are suitable for various applications in biosensing, diagnostics and targeted drug delivery (photothermal and photodynamic therapy), Surface characterization of two kinds of cyclodextrins has been carried out by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy with the aim to investigate the bond between Au nanoparticles and cyclodextrins. Detailed analysis of obtained results revealed that the cyclodextrins are linked to the nanoparticles forming Au - N bond (literal)
