• ABSTRACT: Within the EUFP6 project HEARTFAID, an integrated platform of services is being developed to assist chronic heart failure stakeholders in their routine workflow and to provide an optimal management of heart failure patients, by exploiting the most advanced technologies, compliant to medical standards, advanced instruments for diagnostic data processing, and significant and up-to-date knowledge, suitably formalized. The core of the platform intelligence is represented by a Knowledge based Clinical Decision Support System, which is aimed at making more effective and efficient all the processes related to chronic heart failure patients' management. In this paper, the current results of the platform development are reported and discussed. (literal)
