- Abstract
- The aim of this paper was to study the interaction between kerosene droplets and a hot counter air flow. Fast imaging was employed to better understand what were the mechanisms that govern the self-sustaining combustion in Combustion condition. Working in counter flow conditions allowed us to reduce the area of the evaporation and burning phenomena and verify with fine precision the condition of ignition and burning phenomena. This preliminary work allowed to recover numeric information about droplet size, thermal field and dynamic field in counter flow injection condition. (literal)
