- The study of the conductivity performance in protonic and ionic conditions was performed by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technique, in order to point out the role of protons in the total samples conductivity.
Our early investigation on the BaCe1-yYyO3-ä (y=0, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2) pellets prepared by both sol-gel and solid state syntheses, have shown significantly high proton conductivities.[6] The x=0.15 and x=0.20 composition showed the higher conductivities, close to 10-2 Ù-1cm-1 in H2/H2O atmosphere, just at the 600°C temperature. Moreover, samples prepared from nano-sized powders (sol-gel method) exhibited higher conductivities in both ionic and protonic conditions in comparison with samples from solid state reaction powders.

- The conductivity and the chemical stability in CO2 atmosphere were investigated by EIS and termogravimetry analyses respectively on sintered
BaCe1-x-yZrxYyO3-ä samples depending on Zr content and on Y content, which was kept between y=0.15 and 0.20.
The development of this work will be the optimization of screen printing procedure to deposit an electrolyte film based on these materials on supporting anodes, in order to study their performances.
