- Abstract
- Methods and technologies for risk management have been developed and consolidated over time in different sectors to meet various needs. Recently, ISO organization published a set of documents aimed at risk assessment. These guidelines are not specific to a particular sector, but they can be undertaken by any public or private organization and can be applied to any type of risk. This paper presents a research work that aims to develop a knowledge-based tool to support people training in risk assessment. In particular, it assists the process of identification of the most appropriate techniques for risk assessment according to the specific characteristics of a working activity. The domain knowledge has been formalized in an ontology that facilitates the reading and understanding of the information provided by the standard documents, enabling the user to navigate the related knowledge through logical paths (literal)
