- Abstract
- HYDROTESTING ALLIANCE (HTA) is the European Network of Excellence to facilitate the
continuation of leadership of the European Hydrodynamic testing facilities. The objective of this
alliance is to develop a formal and lasting structure to coordinate the definition and introduction of
novel measurement techniques for ship model testing. Amongst the various techniques the
relatively recent development of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) has renewed the interest in the
field of experimental naval hydrodynamics and is one of topic of the cooperation within the
