Abstract
  • The 8th European Fusion Physics Workshop took place in December 2000 at Leysin in Switzerland. It was hosted by the Association CRPP-Euratom, Lausanne and sponsored by the European Commission. Within an overall theme of Transport in Magnetic Fusion Plasmas, five topics of importance to the future development of magnetically confined fusion were discussed in detail. In addition, a reviewof the first year of JET experiments under the European Fusion Development Agreement and the results of the ITER Technology Research and Development programme were presented. The main issues discussed in each session and the areas identified as requiring further study are summarized here. (literal)
