- Abstract
- Small Angle X-Ray Scattering using 3rd generation synchrotron radiation has proven to be a powerful technique for following the growth of soot nanoparticles in hydrocarbon flames. This in-situ technique has the advantage of not requiring the index of refraction to be known and is a non-destructive method. In this talk we shall discuss the effects on particle size and number density due to the addition of soot reducing additives including alkaline and alkaline-earth salts and ferrocene (literal)
