Abstract

• Aimed to professionals in the chemical and oleochemical industries, this digital book answers the three main questions of the bioglycerol issue: - Is glycerol as a platform chemical here to stay? - Which are the glycerol derivatives capable to absorb a significant fraction of the large (and increasing) glycerol global surplus? - What is unique to the glycerin market, and what are the real strategic options of the chemical industry concerning this versatile feedstock? This book provides arguments offering a critical answer to each of the above questions, putting the bioglycerol issue in the context of the biodiesel and oleochemicals markets.
