Abstract
  • Enzymatic hydrolysis of oleuropein carried out in a NMR tube, gave two diastereoisomeric aglycones, which have been identified and characterized by proton and carbon NMR experiments in the same aqueous reaction medium. The stereostructures, assigned to the aglycones by NOESY spectroscopy and molecular dynamics calculation are those of two diastereoisomers, 4a and 4b. (literal)
