• ABSTRACT: As the web grows and bandwidth increases, people demand more from their online experiences. New tecnologies can be used to improve the usability of a web application. AJAX is the name of one of these. Ajax, an acronym for Asynchronous Javascript plus XML, is a Web development technique for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to make web pages feel more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire Web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change. This is meant to increase the Web page's interactivity, speed, and usability. For facilitating using of this technique we developed a javascript library containing two classes: 'FrameworkChannel' and 'AjCron'. The Framework Channel class allows to perform the HTTP requests GET, HEAD, POST, OPTIONS, PUT and DELETE with many browser such as Mozilla FireFox, Internet Explorer, Nescape, Opera and others. AjCron class, derived from 'FrameworkChannel', allows to synchronize two web resources. It carries out a temporal sequence of HEAD requests that check the 'Last-Modified' parameter of a web uri. If this parameter changes it runs a user function. (literal)
