- Abstract
- The spin transport properties of a quantum wire interrupted by two barriers and in the presence of Luttinger liquid correlations are studied. The spin effects on the linear conductance are discussed. It is shown that the separation of the Coulomb blockade peaks depends on the parity of the electron charge in the dot and that two successive peak positions move always in opposite directions when increasing the temperature. In the non-linear region the spin-charge separation strongly affects the current-voltage characteristics. The spin leads to rich structure in the non-linear differential conductance that reflects both the collective spin density excitations and the values of the total spin in the quantum dot. (literal)
