  • The purpose of the present work is definition and selection of the system/systems suitable as solar absorbers. The classes of materials considered were: -HfC-based ceramics; -SiC-based ceramics; -AlN-based ceramics. The starting compositions were selected on the basis of: -Optical properties for Concentrating Solar Power Systems (on the basis of literature data) -Easy processing and densification.
