- Abstract
- I meccanismi di trasduzione dei segnali infiammatori e del dolore sono regolati dai recettori-canale che appartengono alla super-famiglia 'transient receptor potential' (TRP) recentemente identificati. I recettori TRP sono considerati importanti targets biologici per la scoperta di nuovi analgesici e ciò stimola la ricerca di nuovi agonisti e/o antagonisti. Recentemente è stato evidenziato il ruolo di alcuni canali TRP nella proliferazione cellulare. Alcuni TRP sono iper-espressi in alcuni tumori e non nei corrispondenti tessuti sani, essendo così marker tumorali per la diagnosi e la terapia del cancro. L'obiettivo di questo modulo è studiare il ruolo di ligandi dei recettori TRP nella trasduzione del dolore, degli stimoli infiammatori e di alcune carcinogenesi allo scopo di gettare le basi per la produzione di molecole per applicazioni mediche e farmacologiche. Modelli animali delle patologie in esame saranno considerati per studi pre-clinici sulla modulazione farmacologica dei sistemi endocannabinoide e TRP, attraverso collaborazioni esterne. (literal)
