- Abstract
- La commessa si interessa delle ricerche di base e di quelle applicative riguardanti la problematica dell'assorbimento di CO2, il gas che contribuisce per circa il 60% all'aumento dell'effetto serra (radiative forcing), da parte dei principali serbatoi di Carbonio terrestri e si collegherà opportunamente alle commesse già esistenti nel campo dell'assorbimento del C da parte degli ecosistemi marini. Le ricerche riguarderanno, pertanto, le basi scientifiche del bilancio del C degli ecosistemi terrestri, sia naturali che coltivati, e le interazioni con la gestione di questi ecosistemi ovvero le potenzialità di espansione del sequestro di C mediante i più appropriati interventi colturali. Analogamente, la commessa prevede anche attività di ricerca sul versante geologico, sulle problematiche scientifiche e tecnologiche riguardanti lo stoccaggio del C nei differenti substrati geologici e giacimenti minerari.
