- Abstract
- Le attività comprendono lo studio della regolazione della contrazione muscolare, dei segnali extra e intracellulari che controllano la specificazione dei tipi di fibre e la crescita muscolare da parte dell'attività nervosa, la rigenerazione muscolare, l'identificazione dei geni implicati nell'atrofia e ipertrofia muscolare, anche mediante analisi sistematica dei profili di espressione genica nei tessuti normali e patologici. Inoltre, sono ben avviati studi sulla segnalazione Ca2+-dipendente nelle miofibre, sull'identificazione di nuovi target molecolari per il trattamento di alcune miopatie, sui ritmi circadiani del muscolo scheletrico e sull'analisi dei geni e dei meccanismi patogenetici dell'epilessia.
